Rhode Island is the smallest state in the United States. A gorgeous “Ocean State” with 400 miles of coastline and makes a beautiful place to vacation. I am born and raised here, so I know many of the “must see” attractions.
I will first brag about the food here. I have travelled many places and different countries but I will say, Rhode Islander’s are spoiled by the delicious variety of food selections throughout the state.
We have the most famous hill, Federal Hill that is. If you want authentic, amazing, Italian food, you will not be disappointed by the selection of restaurants. It has a beautiful atmosphere. In the summer you will always be able to find live music in the square, people eating, strolling, and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors. If it is Italian you crave, I have to give you another choice which is off the beaten path. In Burrillville, RI you can find an amazing Italian restaurant, Bella. This family owned (for 20 +/- years) restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Just outside of Providence this place will NOT disappoint.
If you are a seafood lover, you haven’t experienced seafood until you have tried local RI restaurants. Rhode Island along with other New England states has some of the best seafood in the world. Delicious, fresh (right off the boat), and prepared deliciously. Many of the restaurants throughout the state use fresh local seafood, however you can find an abundance of restaurants in the Narragansett, Newport, Jamestown, Wakefield, Westerly, Misquamicut, and Block Island.
