We are less than 1 month away from our special Halloween trip to Disney! Eeeekkk I’m so excited! I have included a check list of everything we have needed to reserve and prepare for the trip.
First and foremost we wanted to secure our tickets to the special event called Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Tickets are limited, so we bought ours about 8 weeks before the trip. We will be trick or treating throughout Disney on Halloween night!
We will be dressing up as well. I knew I needed to be able to pack costumes for all 5 of us and travel with them. So this had to be something fun, easy to fold and pack, Disney related, and comfortable for the night in the park. So thank you Pinterest for always being a great place for inspiration. Here is what I will be making for our special night.
This is the photo which gave me the inspiration:
The boys LOVE the Monsters Inc. movie so I know they will love dressing up in these. I will be sure to follow up with how my shirts came out after I make them. Wish me luck!
I was also able to get a brunch reservation at Chef Mickey’s. This I had to plan well in advance. If you are a newbie to Disney or just haven’t been in a really long time, you need to make reservations for character dining really far in advance. They begin taking reservations 180 days before and you have an extra ten days if you are staying at a Disney resort. Plan ahead! If you wait until a couple months before your trip you will have a hard time getting a reservation. However I recommend always calling to speak with a Disney representative about reservations because they are extremely helpful and can help you find a reservation. It might be at a different restaurant or time, but they look high and low to try to find something for you.
I explained in another post all the great things about traveling to Disney this time of year. Top of that list is the short lines. So using the “My Disney Experience” app I have set up my fast pass+ selections but probably won’t have to use them!
We also got an amazing deal on airfare. Frontier is a an airline that has just started flying out of our closest airport. This will be the first time travelling with them. I will follow up to let you know, how everything went using this airline.
I am also lucky enough to be working with Mazda. They will be providing our family a car to use while in Florida. I can’t wait to share all the details of the Mazda CX-5.
We are not staying in a Disney resort (so sad) however we are renting a nice 4 bedroom house about 10 minutes from the parks. We will have our own little pool, full kitchen and three bathrooms, so plenty of room for all of us.
With less than three weeks to go, I’m trying to figure out how to make flying go as smooth as possible. Wish us luck!
